SOS Youth Houses
In Syria, children living in the village move to the youth house when they turn 14, which becomes their new home until they complete their education or vocational training. After they graduate, they move out of the youth house to start the semi-independent period of their lives where they live alone, while receiving limited support and supervision from the youth leader. This period might last for up to three years until the young boy/girl is deemed capable of living an independent and successful life.
