SOS Children's Villages - Syria

Children living in the SOS Children Villages go to the schools of the surrounding areas with children of the neighborhood. When the children are back from school, they live normal family life with their mother, sisters and brothers in their home within the village community. The work of the village is conducted under the supervision of qualified, educational staff, headed by the village director who acts as a father for all of the children. The children stay in the village until they reach the age of twelve years old after which the boys and girls move into separate SOS Youth Facilities.
